There are so many debates about tithes and offerings in the Christian World today, that confusion has come upon the Children of God.
I also became confused at some point. But God has been showing me that we should not go against his will simply because we are not under the law.
Just like we do not fornicate even though we are not under the law, so we also do not become stingy and stop contributing to the Kingdom of God because we are not under the law.
In Luke 12:15-21, Jesus told the parable of a person who was not rich towards God. He is called a fool and it does not end well for him.
Salomon who was wise and rich, wrote a verse that we should always remember, especially if we are battling with lack and giving. Proverbs 3:9-10 says:
“Honor the Lord with your possessions
and with the first produce of your entire harvest;
then your barns will be completely filled,
and your vats will overflow with new wine.”
I know God will never go against His Word. Let’s test him and see if He will not fulfill what He promised to us.
